Sofiane Diop joins OGC Nice
OGC Nice is delighted to announce the arrival of attacking midfielder Sofiane Diop from Monaco.
After Nicolas Pepe, there's another reinforcement for the Aiglons' attacking sector, Sofiane Diop. Able to play as a number 10, support striker, or wide left in the front line, the 22-year-old has joined from AS Monaco to give coach Favre yet another attacking option. The Tours-born player is already used to the top level having made 105 competitive appearances for our Côte d'Azur neighbours — 17 of which have been in European competition - scoring 17 goals.
A playmaker blessed with delightful technique, a good dribbler and a deadly exponent of set-pieces, the France U21 international, who came through the Rennes youth academy, spent a season on loan at Sochaux (2019/20) in Ligue 2.
The club would like to wish Sofiane a very warm welcome.
