Nicolas Pépé joins OGC Nice on loan
OGC Nice and Arsenal have reached agreement on a loan deal (without purchase option) for Nicolas Pépé.
After searching for a talented and experienced winger, Le Gym are delighted to announce the arrival of Nicolas Pépé on loan for the 2022/23 season. The Côte d’Ivoire international is explosive, a dribbler, can make and take goals, and is returning to a Ligue 1 he knows well. He left in 2019 to join Arsenal, with whom he scored 27 goals in 112 appearances, winning the 2019/20 FA Cup.
Before crossing the Channel, Nicolas Pépé had an exceptional 2018/19 season with LOSC, making a significant contribution to their runners-up finish with 22 goals and 11 assists.
Born in Mantes-la-Jolie, Pépé came through the Angers youth system and then joined Orléans in the third tier, helping them to promotion in 2015/16 and was named Player of the Year. He then established himself at the top level with SCO and LOSC. He currently has 38 goals and 17 assists in 107 Ligue 1 games.
In Nice, Pépé will play under Lucien Favre at a club expecting his talent and experience to help lift the squad to greater heights. OGC Nice welcomes him!
