Dante: 'We came up short with the final pass'
Speaking to Prime Video after the 0-0 draw with Lyon, captain Dante lamented Le Gym's lack of finishing ability: "We absolutely had to win tonight. There were some good things and some not-so-good things. We created quite a few half-chances, but we came up short with the final pass this evening. It's up to us to work on putting those balls away and making things easier for ourselves."
Asked about the rhythm of Nice's passing game, the Brazilian stopper defended coach Farioli's principles. "It's the coach's way of playing. That's what he asks of us, that's how we train and that's how we're going to continue to progress. That's the way we play. At Lorient, everyone was happy and we played the same way."
