Biography

Born in Mantes-la-Jolie and trained at Angers, Pépé rose through the ranks in France, starting out in the National at Orléans. In the Loiret, he helped the club climb to Ligue 2 by being crowned best player of the 2015-16 season.

He went on to establish himself in the top flight with SCO Angers and then LOSC, including an exceptional 2018-19 season with Lille, where he scored 22 goals and got 11 assists to help them to 2nd place in Ligue 1.

An explosive Ivorian international, a passer and a dribbler, the left-footed player who loves playing on the right flank crossed the Channel in the summer of 2019 to sign for Arsenal, with whom he has played 112 games and scored 27 goals. With the Gunners, he won the FA Cup in 2020.

Pépé joined Nice on a one-year loan for the 2022-2023 season. The number 29 had a good first half of the season, scoring 8 goals in 26 appearances. Hampered by knee problems, the 28-year-old forward's end to the season was disrupted, and he made just five appearances in the second half. He left the Côte d'Azur with a total of 28 matches (19 in Ligue 1, 8 in the Conference League and 1 in the Coupe de France).
