A week after the Bordeaux defeat, Nice head to Lens on Saturday with a clear objective: turn around their negative run of form.

"It's an extremely difficult situation, serious even. We've no more time to dwell on things. The first factor to improve is the attitude," explained Adrian Ursea in Thursday's pre-match press conference. "When I talk about attitude, I'm talking about putting in effort, taking the best decisions when we do something. It's also about making runs and showing a different attitude, because it's not possible to continue like this after winning one match out of our last 14."

'EACH PLAYER HAS TO GIVE MORE TO THE TEAM'

The technical staff and Director of Football Julien Fournier spoke at length to fans at the training centre on Wednesday. "Above all, we listened to them, because they had a message to give us: the enormous amount of frustration that has built up over quite a long time." Coach Ursea also spoke to his players on Thursday morning. "Along with the technical staff, I told them what we thought. The president was there too and also got his point across. We're doing everything to turn the situation around. It'll come through discussions, but above all through what the players do on the pitch against Lens. Each player has to give more to the team," said the Nice coach.

'ENOUGH TALK'

"Enough talk, now we have to put it into action. The players are aware of that and I saw a change in attitude at training. Now, that has to be taken into games," he added, noting that there "could be some changes and tactical tweaks, but we're not going to revolutionise everything, because it would get messy. That would send the message to the team that we've lost control. That's not the aim. We want to keep the same DNA, but do things better. We have to make an effort over much longer distances, work together in defensive phases, move teams around together, without having one or two players badly positioned."
