Nice agree terms for Robson Bambu transfer
OGC Nice and Athlético Paranaense have agreed terms for the transfer of Robson Bambu.
Born on 12 November 1997 in Sao Vicente, the 22-year-old Brazilian defender played last season for Athlético Paranaense, with whom he competed in the Copa Libertadores (the South American equivalent of the UEFA Champions League). Standing 1.86m, fast and solid in a challenge, the right-footed central defender is an excellent passer.
A product of the Santos youth academy, with whom he made his professional debut, the Brazil U21 international is set to continue his development in Europe and in Ligue 1, with Le Gym.
After arriving on the Côte d’Azur in early June and being subject to a strict sanitary protocol due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Robson Bambu successfully underwent the traditional medical examination ahead of him signing his contact when the summer transfer window opens and subject to the approval of the DNCG.
With the green light from CA Paranaense, the player will be at the training ground for the squad’s return to training on 15 June.
Having observed the player for several months, OGC Nice is delighted to welcome Robson to the club. With 21 professional appearances to his name, he is an ambitious young player with huge potential.
