25-year-old Denmark international defender Riza Durmisi will join OGC Nice on loan in January.

To prepare for the second half of the season, there will soon be a new face at the Nice training centre in the coming days. Joining from Italian Serie A club Lazio, Riza Durmisi, 25, successfully underwent his medical on Thursday. In agreement with Lazio, he is already available for coach Patrick Vieira ahead of officially joining Les Rouge et Noir in January.

Le Gym, Lazio and the player have agreed terms for a loan with option to buy. This agreement will take effect when the winter transfer window opens on 1 January 2020. From that date onwards he will be available to play for Nice.

Born in Denmark, like national team teammates Kasper Dolberg, with Albanian origins, Riza Durmisi has played in Italy since last season (19 appearances including seven in the Europa League) following two excellent seasons with Real Betis in Spain (52 matches) after making his debut with Brondby.
