On Sunday 23 May 1954, at the Stade Yves-du-Manoir in Colombes, Le Gym faced Olympique de Marseille in the final of the most prestigious domestic cup competition. In front of 56,803 spectators, the team coached by Georges William Berry secured the second Coupe de France title in the club’s history, after a match that was filled with quality.
