Behind the scenes at the Beaujoire, Christophe Jallet spoke about the Aiglons’ great victory (1-2 against Nantes on Tuesday) with the Jour de Foot.

“At Montpellier (1-0) we were made to pay for a lack of desire and agression. We needed to react, and we proved that we have got back all of our values” delighted the French international.   

The defender even celebrated his third start of the season with the opener after a strike which ended up in Tatarusanu’s net (31'). A first goal in red and black - the 14th of his career in L1 - which the dad dedicated to his two daughters.

“It was an evening of firsts!” joked "Jaja", referring to Jean-Victor Makengo and Racine Coly, who both opened their campaigns, with a goal for Makengo and an assist for Coly. “Even when there are changes, everyone is at 200% in order to help the squad to win.” 

”An incredible match awaits us” 

“Things are going better. With the game time, I am managing to get my confidence and physical shape back” concluded the former PSG defender (2009-14), before speaking about his former side, who the Aiglons face on Saturday at the Allianz Riviera. “It was important for us to get the three points before welcoming PSG, because if we manage to take something from that match, it’s a bonus. An incredible match awaits us, we will need to show the same values that we showed this evening, with a bit more accuracy in order to cause them problems, but it will be tough.”
