Nice 2-0 Lens
A special 300th for Dante!
Dante played his 300th match for OGC Nice against RC Lens on Saturday in a comfortable 2-0 win on Matchday 21 of Ligue 1.
He arrived one summer's day, full of experience, full of sunshine, full of ambition. A decade later, Dante is still the boss of the OGC Nice defence, where he has become a monument far beyond the sporting example he represents.
Captain of an entire generation, a model of resilience, commitment and loyalty, the 2013 Champions League winner played his 300th match in the red and black shirt against the Sang et Or. A symbolic milestone that only he has achieved in the 21st century.
Honoured before kick-off, exemplary in the match and given a standing ovation as he left the pitch at the end of the game, the captain enjoyed a magnificent evening. Like the symbol he is.

Now he can look forward to catching up with Jean-Phi' Mattio (307 matches), another legendary figure at the club founded in 1904. Vamos Dante!
