On Sunday, the young Aiglons headed to Nîmes for their Gambardella Cup Round of 64 tie, and went through with a 2-1 win secured by Amidou Doumbouya’s late goal.

Against the Crocodiles, the difference was made by a youngster who is used to training with the first team as Amidou Doumbouya found the net with 15 minutes left. 

Le Gym had opened the scoring early through Yassine Aïche (0-1, 5’) before the hosts equalised on 65 minutes.

After defeating Ajaccio (1-0) and now Nîmes Olympique (2-1), Julien Sablé’s team will play their Round of 32 tie on 2 February, and will know their opponents after Thursday’s draw.
