Vive l’Enfance, Vive le Gym

The 4th Défenseurs de l'Enfance tournament took place this Sunday at the Allianz Riviera. A tremendous success!

‘So that childhood remains child's play’, all the forces of good gathered at the Allianz Riviera on Sunday. All of them, even the sun, a superb backdrop for a huge event. Thanks to the mobilisation of the network of CNAPE, the National Convention of Child Protection Associations, spread across the country, and its ambassador, Mohamed Bouhafsi, 216 children representing the 18 McDonald's Ligue 1 clubs took part in a unique event. Accompanied by Dante and Fianso, the tournament's patrons, they did justice to the pitch, to football and to joy.

There was a little bit of everything in the Plaine du Var on Sunday: goals, dribbles, saves, tears, joy, emotions and a fine victory for RC Strasbourg in the final against Paris - the second in a row for the RCSA. There were huge smiles and surprises aplenty.

There was everything we love, and of course, there was Le Gym, everywhere and always, the magnificent red and black thread on a special day. At the Allianz Riviera on Sunday, the players entered to a chorus of ‘Nissa la Bella’ in the final. The Mèfi-club kicked off the tournament, with music provided by Renaud Truchi, as he does at all Les Aiglons matches. The clapping was started by the Nice team and taken up by all their friends throughout the day. Melvin Bard arrived at the end of the morning. Sofiane Diop and Tanguy Ndombele followed, the latter offering his boots to a young Stade Rennais player on crutches, as well as shirts to all the winners. Under the benevolent eye of President Rivère, who was also present for much of the day, and former Aiglons Alexy Bosetti and Vincent Koziello, all the participants gave it their all on a very special occasion.

OGC Nice would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to this great success: all the partners, coaches, volunteers, parents and, of course, all the little heroes from a Sunday that will forever be etched in our hearts.
