Two more years for Bouanani
Badredine Bouanani extends his contract with Nice. The forward is now signed to the club until 2029.
He signed his first professional contract with OGC Nice on 7 July 2022, at just 17 years old, after training at LOSC. At the time, Le Gym saw great talent and strong potential in him. The promise quickly materialised, and after starting with the reserve team, the winger moved up the ranks swiftly, extending his contract as early as 30 December 2022. This was proof that the club immediately trusted him, and he immediately trusted the club.
In the fall of 2024, this mutual trust has grown even stronger. Now an Algerian international (with 5 caps), the left-footer, who will turn 20 on 8 December, is becoming increasingly important within the red and black squad. After a six-month loan to Lorient at the start of 2024, he has made 9 appearances in competitive matches, including 4 starts. “I am very proud to extend my contract,” the player explains. “I feel that the club is doing everything to help me thrive, and I want to give everything back to repay that trust. I have everything I need to succeed here, in a club with ambition that perfectly fits me. My goals are clear: I want to keep progressing, be more and more in the starting eleven, prove to my coach that he can trust me, and make the fans happy. And of course, I want to be more decisive. I know that’s an area for improvement, and I’m working hard to keep growing, knowing this is the best place to do so.”
