It was a classic Melvin Bard display. The Gym’s left-back was at the top of his game at the Stade Vélodrome, keeping things tight at the back and going forward, he very nearly scored a super volley only to strike a post.

The 23-year-old full-back then found himself at the centre of the defence late in the game when Franck Haise threw on Ali Abdi to try and get something from the match.

Tanguy Ndombele also stood out for you, earning 38% of the vote. The France international midfielder showed his skill and strength in the midfield battle.

Youssouf Ndayishimiye completes the podium. The Burundi international, who ended the game with the captain’s armband, received 8% of the vote.
