Good news before Angers – Nice

Franck Haise provided an update on his squad before his side's trip to Angers, scheduled for Sunday on Matchday 3 of L1 (5pm).

The Nice coach began with a positive note about Jeremie Boga: "He resumed training this week. We're going to take stock. He hasn't had a 100% week in terms of training volume, but he's still done the sessions so far. We'll see if he can make the squad this weekend. The international break will allow us to continue working with Jeremie. In any case, there's no hurry, because the run of matches will start after the international break. What we need to do is build on what we've already achieved and assess the risks. This isn't the last or penultimate match of the season. I'm already pleased to have him back in the team training sessions."

One positive update was followed by another, as Youssouf Ndayishimiye, who came on at the end of the match against Toulouse, continues to improve physically: "It's good that Youssouf has had a full second week," said the coach, before adding: "Sofiane (Diop) has started warming up again. The idea is that we can go further with him during the international break. The same applies to Tom Louchet: "He's in the process of resuming group training. I hope that he will be back in action next week."

Finally, Franck Haise provided an update on the players currently undergoing treatment: "Gaëtan had his operation this week and it went well. In general, we know that it's around three months. Terem had surgery too. He is going through his rehabilitation and Morgan still has the boot. The are both mid to long-term injuries."
