Medical update ahead of Nice v. Toulouse
As his side prepares to host Toulouse at 17:00 CET this Sunday, Franck Haise gave an update on his squad.
Bombito SET to make debut, Bard and Ndayishimiye return
“Of the injured players, we’ve got back Youssouf [Ndayishimiye], who can comfortably stake a claim to a place in the squad. Melvin [Bard] has served his one-game suspension. Moïse is eligible,” explained Les Aiglons’ manager, who also appeared satisfied with the Burundi international’s form. “I didn’t think that Youssouf would be this ready after three months without training with the team. There’s no question about whether he can be included in the squad because he’s doing really, really well, although I don’t think that we should get ahead of ourselves. I don’t have 50 players, and with the lads that have been out for a while, I don’t want to do anything medically unwise. Either way, he’ll definitely be in the squad. I think that if he keeps training like he is, with that strength and that form, he’ll stake his claim more quickly than I thought, which is great.”
As for the other injured players, the coach pointed out that “Jérémie Boga is the only one that we might see back next week”.
laborde suffers fifth metatarsal fracture
Finally, today’s piece of bad news came from Gaëtan Laborde, who has injured himself in training. The tests that the Le Gym striker has since undergone have revealed a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. OGC Nice would like to extend its full support to the no. 24 and will do all that it can to aid his return to the pitch.
