Strasbourg 1-3 Nice
Aiglon of the Match: Time for the boss!
Unsurprisingly, Dante was your Aiglon of the Match in Strasbourg (1-3).
74% of the votes. A resounding endorsement of our captain's performance at La Meinau. Dante was at the heart of all the battles, all the rallies, and was at the heart of a victory achieved at the perfect time, with just three games to go in the league. At a time when breathing space is at a premium - and so are points. After a difficult first half-hour, Les Aiglons got back on track, Evann Guessand equalising from the penalty spot just before the break. They took the lead when their No.4 took flight and headed home a Boga corner. Rising higher than Sylla, Perrin and Sissoko, Dante scored his eighth goal in 280 games for Le Gym, and his first since the visit of FC Ajaccio on 10 February 2023. Sunday's performance earned him a place in the Round 31 Ligue 1 Team of the Week, and seemingly pushed back the clock a little further...

Mohamed-Ali Cho, a hard-hitting and incisive player, came second in the poll (13%). The right-winger was on hand to claim the equalising penalty after beating Delaine yet again. Morgan Sanson, who made a dazzling turn off the bench and scored his fourt goal for Le Gym (his second in a week after the one he scored against Lorient), rounded out the podium (3%).
