First professional contract for Amraoui

Ayoub Amraoui signs his first professional contract with OGC Nice!

The crowd discovered him on a derby night when he was the surprise inclusion in the starting 11 for Le Gym at the Stade Louis-II. It was an rewarding debut for the young Ayoub Amraoui, as the Red and Blacks won emphatically (3-0 on 26th February 2023).

This is the first of his 11 appearances as a professional, all of which have come during an emotionally charged 2023. "It's true that a lot has happened," summarised the smiley young man, who turned 19 on 14th May.

He discovered European football soon after that of L1. Quite the grand entrance for the Seyne native, who scored the only goal in the first leg of the Conference League quarter finals in Moldova against Sheriff Tiraspol (1-0 on 9th March). A cross-cum-shot that has gone down in history for the player who has been linked with OGC Nice since he was 13, and who arrived at the academy at 16, after starting out at Toulon and a spell at the Pôle Espoirs in Aix-en-Provence.

Ayoub has played at every level of the youth academy and won the U23 AFCON with the Morocco this summer. This addition to his list of achievements also gives the Atlas Cubs a ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. “There are a lot of emotions involved in signing this first professional contract," said Amraoui. "I'm thinking about my family, all my coaches and trainers. It's another important step, but it's only the beginning. I hope we can achieve great things with OGC Nice, a club I love and with which we share great ambitions."
