Farioli: "Lots of positives"

What did you think of the trip to Portugal?
Between the morning and the afternoon, we were able to give everyone some game time. And these two matches made us realise, once again, the things that are good and the areas where we need to improve. This is important. Everyone was able to play a full match. What's also positive is that the players got to the end of their matches with something left in their legs.

What are your thoughts on tonight's match?
There was a lot of pace because we were playing against a team that will be playing in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League in a few days' time. So they're a team ready for an important fixture. At the same time, it's vital for us to be ready, because in two week's time we'll be starting our league campaign against Lille. We have to keep working and keep pushing. Now we have two games next week that will be very difficult (against Villarreal and Fiorentina, editor's note). Today's games have given us plenty to work on. The team is a new one, with players who are just arriving and others who will be arriving, so we need to accelerate in all areas. It's a process of learning, of getting to know each other. Our responsibility is to move as quickly as possible. There were lots of positives against Lausanne and Montpellier. Today, we were up against a tough opponent and it was an open game. We need to improve, but there are lots of positives.

What did you think of the debuts of Morgan Sanson and Jérémie Boga?
When a new player arrives and does 2 or 3 training sessions with the team, there are clearly automatisms that need to be improved. But for both Morgan and Jérémie, it was an important match. Morgan played 90 minutes. There were a lot of positive things. It's just a matter of time before the connection between the players improves.
