2023 pre-season
The schedule for the first week back
The OGC Nice first-team squad is expected back at the training ground on Monday for the start of pre-season, which will take place over the six weeks leading up to the start of the Ligue 1 campaign on the weekend of 12th and 13th August, when the team is set to face Lille at the Allianz Riviera.
PRESS CONFERENCE LIVE AT 15:00 CET ON MONDAY
The 2023–24 campaign begins on Monday, when Les Aiglons will settle back into squad life and refocus on the future and on the work at hand. Le Gym’s new manager, Francesco Farioli, will also meet his players for the first time in order to lay the groundwork for six intense weeks.
In the afternoon, shortly after this opening meeting, the gaffer will take part in his first press conference, where he will be joined by OGC Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivère and sporting director Florent Ghisolfi. The presser is due to start at 15:00 CET and will be broadcast live on the club’s media channels.
TRAINING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON WEDNESDAY
For the first two days of Les Rouge et Noir’s summer preparations, the players will carry out a series of tests and examinations, with their return to the pitch set for Wednesday morning, in a training session that will be open to the public.
The internationals will gradually rejoin the squad slightly later this summer.
The first pre-season friendly, meanwhile, is scheduled for Tuesday 11th July at the training ground, where Les Aiglons will host Union Saint-Gilloise at 10:30 CET. The game will take place behind closed doors and will be broadcast live on OGCNICE.tv.
On Friday 14th July, Le Gym will travel to Switzerland for their second summer test, this time against FC Lausanne-Sport at 16:30 CET.
