Dario Cvitanich honoured on Saturday before Nice - PSG!
An exceptional encounter, deserves an exceptional guest! Dario Cvitanich, one of Le Gym's icons in the 21st century, will be the guest of honour at the match between Nice - PSG, on Saturday 8 April (9pm). An OGC Nice forward between 2012 and 2014, “Super Dario” has remained in the memories of all Niçois thanks to his class, his personality and his nose for the goal. His first season for the club, in 2012/2013, ended with 19 Ligue 1 goals on the board and a place in second spot of the top scorer standings behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Statistics amplified by the special relationship formed between the Argentine striker and Le Gym's supporters.
"Time goes by but one thing never changes: I love Nice and the people of Nice. When we talk about it, my wife cries, there is the melancholy of what we lived there," said the striker in April 2020, on the club's website. "It was not only football, it was a lifestyle, the people, the city, the friends... I have not yet been back since I left, but I intend to do so when I can because I miss it all."
Coming especially from Argentina for the occasion, Dario will meet the fans at the Musée National du Sport at 7:00 pm before receiving his Former Aiglon trophy on the pitch, ahead of kick-off of the match.
He announced it in a video published on the club's Twitter account on Monday evening.
