Aiglon of the match
Terem Moffi: the man of the derby
With a massive 76% of the vote, Terem Moffi was – unsurprisingly – named Aiglon of the Match for the derby in which he scored twice and tallied an assist.
FIRST SINCE VICTOR AGALI
Terem Moffi is the first Nice player to have three goal involvements in a Ligue 1 game against Monaco since another Nigerian, Victor Agali, who scored a hat-trick at the Stade Louis II on 2 October 2004 (3-4). It's also the first time in his career the Super Eagle has three goal involvements in a single away game.
SECOND-TOP SCORING AFRICAN
His brace means he now has 14 league goals, a tally bettered among African players only by compatriot Victor Osimhen (19) at Napoli in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
SURGICAL PRECISION
The OGC Nice number 9 showed clinical efficiency in the principality: four goal attempts, three on target, two goals.

NUMEROUS SPRINGS
The Nigerian ran 9.91km on Sunday, 24 of which were sprints, four more than any other player – no wonder the Monaco defence couldn’t keep up.
NOT QUITE AS GOOD WITH A PHONE THOUGH…

THURAM & NDAYISHIMIYE ON THE PODIUM
With an assist for Moffi’s second strike and a goal himself, Khephren Thuram got 9% of the vote. The midfielder again impressed both technically and physically, and he was close to scoring a Goal of the Month contender in the second half.

Behind the game’s goalscorers, Youssouf Ndayishimiye (5%) also shone. Defender in the first half, midfielder in the second, the Burundi international played a crucial role in winning the ball back (9 duels won of 12, the highest in the game). He also played eight passes in the final third.
