Denmark call up Schmeichel and Dolberg for World Cup
The Danish Football Federation has announced its final squad for the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar which includes Kasper Schmeichel and Kasper Dolberg.
The goalkeeper, who joined Nice last summer, counts 86 international caps and this will be his second World Cup tournament after featuring in Russia 2018, where he played in all four matches (the three group games and the last-16 penalty shootout loss to Croatia). At 36 years of age, the ‘keeper has won the last three Aiglon of the Match awards. He starred in his country’s recent 2-0 victory over France.
He will be accompanied in Qatar by Kasper Dolberg. On loan at Sevilla FC from Le Gym, the 25-year-old forward has made 37 appearances for his national team, scoring 11 goals. He played a total of 15 minutes in Russia 2018.

The Vikings are in Group D and take on Tunisia in their opening World Cup game at 14:00 on 22 November, before locking horns with France at 17:00 on 26 November and Australia at 16:00 on 30 November.
