The striker picks up the trophy with 31% of the votes — a deserved reward given just how instrumental Les Rouge et Noir’s number 7 has been in his team’s results.

By scoring in the 1-1 draw with Stade Rennais on 2nd April, he helped Le Gym gain a share of the spoils against a direct rival. He then gave his side a precious 2-1 win at home to Lorient, latching onto a Kasper Dolberg cross in the dying moments to bag himself a brace. Having stayed off the scoresheet away to Monaco and at home to Troyes, where his effort nonetheless led to openings, Delort ended April with three goals, his joint-highest tally in a single month alongside October, before getting May underway with the winning goal in the 1-0 victory away to Bordeaux.

Just below Delort is second-placed Khephren Thuram. The midfielder, who made three starts last month and scored after coming on in the 1-0 win over Troyes, has earned 30% of the votes, putting him a whisker ahead of Youcef Atal. The full-back, who will unfortunately be out injured until the end of the season, notched up an assist against Rennes and has received a show of support from the Nice fans with 29% of their votes.
