Squad
Claude-Maurice back, three out at Saint-Etienne
Christophe Galtier announced in Friday's pre-match press conference that Alexis Claude-Maurice is back in the squad for Saturday's trip to Saint-Etienne, but three players are sidelined for the Ligue 1 Matchday 8 game.
Alexis Claude-Maurice, sidelined since breaking his leg against Strasbourg on 16 May, "will be in the group. He's operational," said Christophe Galtier. "He's come back from quite a big injury. He's been working with the squad for the last 8-10 days. I have spoken to him today. He has no pain, of course, and no apprehension."
After coming off injured against Lorient, Jean-Clair Todibo will also be available. "He got to work before his teammates outside and with treatment inside," said the coach.
On the other hand, Kasper Dolberg, Hicham Boudaoui and Justin Kluivert are not available. Regarding the Denmark forward, Galtier said, "He worked on his own yesterday and things were looking good. But as soon as he started getting into technical and tactical work, the pain came back. It's still too early. He deserves credit for trying. Unfortunately, there's not enough time for him to recover and he won't be in the squad." Boudaoui came off at half-time in Brittany, and "he has back pain. He felt quite a bit of pain before the interval. We took the decision to stop him at half-time and I think he'll be available for the match against Brest." Kluivert also came off at the break "with quite a major muscle lesion which means he'll be out a number of weeks."
