Press conference
Three questions to Marcin Bulka
After his new teammate Melvin Bard, Marcin Bulka (21 years old) sat down to speak to the press alongside President Rivère and Julien Fournier (Director of Football). He presented himself impeccably in French.
Marcin, the hierarchy among the goalkeepers was clearly set-out by Christophe Galtier last week...
It's true. Walter starts as number one. I arrived a few days ago, I know what I need to do to show my ability in training. I will need to work hard. I am attentive. My ambition and the club's ambition is to reach the highest level possible. My objective on the pitch is to progress. I decided to come here. I am very happy, for me it's very important.
What did you learn at PSG?
I grew up in Paris. When you train alongside the best players in the world every day, if you bring concentration, you progress very quickly. Before arriving here, I trained normally, even though I wasn't often in the squad. I prepared myself in the best way possible. I feel good. I know what I need to do in order to be in even better shape.
Can you talk to us about your experience at Chelsea?
I arrived there when I was 16 years old. I had to grow up quickly, not only as a player, but also as a person. When you leave home to go to another country at 16 years old, all alone, it's not easy. The culture is different, the football is too, because I had left a small club. For me, it was a great experience. I have seen how much I have progressed since that time. I trained with very talented players, even in the Academy. Chelsea won the Champions League, that means that it's one of the best clubs in Europe. It made me happy to have been a part of a club like that.
