OGC Nice and FC Barcelona have agreed terms for the permanent transfer of Jean-Clair Todibo!

He said it right from the start: “In my mind, I will be at OGC Nice next season. And the one after that as well!” Following a six-month loan, where his performances impressed everyone, Jean-Clair Todibo (21-years-old) has officially signed for Les Aiglons, confirming his first words on the Côte d’Azur. 

Powerful, athletic and technical, the central defender played 17 matches for Nice, including 15 in Ligue 1, and played a key role in the Rouge et Noir’s improved defence in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign. Each performance highlighting not only his expertise in defence, but also his passing prowess and leadership. 

In the top three in each of the Aiglon of the Month voting, JC – who even captained the side against Strasbourg – found the ideal stage in Nice to continue his promising career that began in Toulouse, and then took him to Barcelona, and then Schalke 04 and Benfica on loan. 

Now he is officially back home, to continue his progression, both individually and with the team.
