Biography
Born in Liverpool and a product of the Everton youth academy, Ross Barkley made his Premier League debut aged 18, and was called up by England before his 20th birthday. The robust attacking midfielder established himself at the highest level over a decade in the Premier League (232 games, 29 goals), winning 33 caps (6 goals) for England, playing at the 2014 World Cup and the 2019 Nations League, as well as being a member of the EURO 2016 squad.
Though best known for his spell at Everton (179 matches, 27 goals, 28 assists), Barkley has also played for Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa and Chelsea. He played a century of games for the Blues, whom he joined in January 2018 (12 goals, 11 passes), playing in the Champions League, and winning the Europa League (2019) and the FA Cup (2018).
Though the summer transfer window closed 1st september 2022 in France, he can join the Aiglons as he was out of contract.
A technically gifted attacking midfielder, Barkley made 27 appearances for Nice and scored four goals, including a magnificent one against Rennes (M17, 1-2) with his trademark long-range drive. The England international also provided two assists for Nice. He left the club at the end of his contract, on 9 June 2023.
