Biography
Son of Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert, Justin came through the Ajax youth academy like his father, before making his first-team debut in 2016/17. He totalled 56 appearances (13 goals, 10 assists) before moving to Roma in summer 2018. The Dutch international made 68 appearances (9 goals, 10 assists) for the Italian outfit before moving to Nice on loan for the 2021/22 season. He was part of the Ajax side that met the Aiglons in Champions League qualifying in 2017, and he spent the 2020/21 season on loan at RB Leipzig where he scored four goals and had one assist in 27 matches.
"Capable of playing in every position across the front line, centre-forward, support striker, on the right, on the left," according to Christophe Galtier, the 22-year-old is on loan (with option to buy), and made his Ligue 1 debut in the opening-day draw with Reims.
The 22-year-old joined OGC Nice on loan on a deal including a purchase option. "He's able to play in every position across the front line: centre-forward, support striker, on the right, on the left," said Christophe Galtier. He made his Ligue 1 debut on 8 August 2021 against Reims (0-0). Thanks to his ability to break through the backline of opposing teams, the Dutchman quickly earned his spurs and scored his first goal for the Aiglons against Bordeaux (4-0) on Matchday 4. Brilliant against OM in the Coupe de France quarter-final (4-1), the forward ended the campaign with 31 appearances for Le Gym, scoring six goals and providing as many assists in all competitions.
